Equipment: High Speed Diverter

  • Display Name: High Speed Diverter
  • Type Name: HighSpeedDiverter

Description

High Speed Diverters (HSD) use Rules to determine when to divert products.

When products hit the position defined by the Source Distance (distance from the beginning of the conveyor and indicated by a Photo Eye sensor), the HSD evaluates the rule and deploys or retracts accordingly.

The products are transferred at the specified transfer speed regardless of the conveyor speed/running status. HSDs remain in their current deployed/retract state until the next product rule evaluate requires a deployment change.

Creation

From the Toolbox, simply drag and drop a High Speed Diverter into the simulation.

Access

From the Project Explorer > Equipments > High Speed Diverter.

Or directly in the simulation.

Properties

Name Description
Connections/Source Name of the source component. (“divert from here”)
Connections/ Source Distance The distance along the source component where the left target point is.
Connections/Destination Name of the destination component. (“divert to here”)
Connections/Destination Distance The distance along the Destination component where diverted product will arrive.
Width The width of the High Speed Diverter (distance between the 2 arms when retracted). The length of the arms is automatically adjusted.
Height The height of the High Speed Diverter arms.
Rotation Speed Speed of High Speed Diverter rotation. (Degrees per second)
Transfer Speed The transfer speed determines how fast products move while being transferred between conveyors.
Deploy Rotates the High Speed Diverter arms and diverts all products that will cross the Source Distance position on the source conveyor. Products are diverted/not diverted as soon as the property is set, regardless of the rotation speed of the arms.
Divert Rule The Rule used to determine whether to divert the incoming product.
Show Path Display the path for diverted product will travel.
Stop When Blocked
  • If false (default), the High Speed Diverter won’t push if the destination conveyor is not running, and the product will keep traveling.
  • If True: if the destination conveyor isn’t running, the source conveyor will stop if a product that should be pushed blocks the High Speed Diverter PE. The source conveyor will start again when the destination conveyor starts and the product is pushed at the same time.

Tip : Create a divert rule and assign it to a High Speed Diverter easily by right-clicking on the High Speed Diverter > Create Divert Rule.
