Model Library

There are a number of 3D models available for use in Sym3 projects. These can be downloaded from the links below to be used in projects.

Each model is downloaded as a zip file containing at least one OBJ file along with other support files, usually:

• XXX.obj - The Object file that describes the model. This is the file loaded into the Sym3 project.
• XXX.txt - Usage and property settings for the model or any special considerations to be aware of.
• XXX.png - A texture that can be loaded with the model. There may be multiple textures for color etc. To add color, create a small square of color and use this as a texture. It will wrap around the entire object.

Equipment Models

Panels - A set of two control boxes, buttons, light, switches, and an MCP all created from a macro, placing these in a project from a bill of materials spreadsheet. ReadMe instructions (with example) included.

Crane and Platform - ASRS Crane and platform used to animate the ASRS operations.

TrayStackerFrame - Tray Stacker unit and frame.

VertiSorterFrame - Safety frame surrounding a Vertisorter.

Airbus - Airbus aircraft.

Boeing747 - Boeing 747 aircraft.

CameraSecurity - Security camera. Place this at the locations where the operator can get a video feed.

ControlRoom - Small control room.

CrossOver - Crossover walkway (bridge) over ground level conveyors.

Daifuku - 3D Daifuku logo.

Dolmus - Airport taxi track (simple design).

Forklift - Forklift (no driver).

Human - Human operator to show operator placement and scales.

LightCurtain - Light curtain frame.

Tanker - Fuel tanker truck.

Truck - Large truck.

ULD - Aircan container.

Van - Small van.

Product Models

ToteTray - A standardised tote tray that can be used as a product shape on conveyors (holding products for that touch of realism).

BTS Tray - A standard baggage tray for bags.

BTS Bag - A passenger bag matched for the baggage tray.

PalletEmpty - Empty pallet.

PalletStack - Disordered stack of empty pallets.

PalletWithBoxes - Pallet part stacked with boxes.

Fluid Models

Motor - Electric motor.

PumpA - Centrifugal pump (top outfeed).

PumpC - Centrifugal pump (left side outfeed).

PumpI - Horizontal pump (top outfeed).

Tank - Large storage tank (vertical mount).

TankM - Large storage tank (vertical mount).

TankValve - Automatic tank valve (with override).

Valve - Manual ‘T’ valve (flange to flange).

Valve2T - Manual in-line valve (flange to pipe).

Funnel - Tank funnel.

FlangePipe - Adaptor pipe join with flange and bolt heads.

Oiltank - Oil storage tank.

PropaneTank - Fixed propane tank.
